The "Virgin of Tenderness" is one of the most beloved icons of the "Panagia" (Virgin Mary) in the Christian East. This version is of a traditional Byzantine - Greek style icon. The verso of the pouch is a Byzantine-Russian style Cross with the "Dove" on the top representing the Holy Spirit and each arm of the Cross having the first letters (IC XC) of "Jesus Christ" in Greek.
The pouch is lined with a zipper and is perfect as a "roasary" or "prayer rope" case.
