This egg pendant is made in the tradition of the extraordinary Russian jeweler Peter Carl Fabergé. The first Fabergé egg was commissioned by Tsar Alexander III in 1885 as an Easter gift for his wife, Empress Maria. This was the beginning of a beautiful Romanov family tradition, to give jeweled eggs as gifts for Easter.
